Beach bums rejoice as Katamanda Estate is close to all the gorgeous southern beaches. Kata Noi and Kata Yai beaches are within walking distance, whilst a quick 15-minute drive takes you to Karon, Nai Harn, Rawai, and Ya Nui beaches. Swim, snorkel, take a ride on a traditional fishing boat or try stand-up paddleboarding, there’s no time to be bored here.
Rent a board and have some surfing fun at Kata Beach. From May to October, the surf’s up. Take lessons or rent a boogie board and go solo. You’ll likely see sea turtles and colourful and cute clownfish, and if you’re very lucky you may see giant manta rays and even leopard sharks.

Looking for adventure? Join a full day cycling tour of Koh Yao Noi that goes along scenic routes through rice fields and tropical jungles. Trek the trail walks, swim in waterfalls, and do the zip line atop tree canopies at Hanuman World.
Visit the Gibbon Rehabilitation Project to support local causes or get close to majestic elephants and observe them go about retired life as they roam, bathe and play.
Shop ‘til you drop at Patong, with its busy street markets and Jungceylon shopping centre, or max your credit card out at Central Floresta where all the top luxury brand names now can be found. Every weekend, Naka Night Market in Phuket Town is packed with people looking for bargains amongst its eclectic stalls and it’s a great place to try foods from all over the country.
Spend a leisurely afternoon teeing off at one of the international standard golf courses in Phuket. Phunaka Golf Club, Red Mountain and Phuket Country Club are beautifully landscaped. The standards are high, and the holes are testing enough to challenge new and experienced players alike.
